My wife and I had a wonderful week's stay at Guana Bay Villas St Marten a few weeks agao compliments of GEO for my contribution to the GEO video by Triple Threat Entertainment.

This was our first vacation using our Geo membership so we decided to stay somewhere fairly local to try it out. We live in Henderson (Las Vegas area) and decided to go to Tahoe. We are originally from California and have stayed in Tahoe numerous times and absolutely LOVE it there. My husband and my two teenage sons and I drove 8 hours to get there, but it was a fun drive since we had never driven that part of Nevada before. New scenery is always fun. The resort was on top of a mountain overlooking Carson Valley, which is breathtaking! We had a nice view from our floor. You have to climb stairs to get to your room and it's a little taxing when you have to carry luggage, but we figure it's good exercise. The unit was clean though a little outdated. The carpet and furnishings were pretty old, but clean. The kitchen was pretty new, bathrooms too. It was comfy and we had plenty of room. It was a 2 bedroom unit. The day after arriving we drove to Reno (about an hour) to see a concert and attend a UNR (University of Reno) tour the next morning for one of our sons who is thinking of going there next year. The tour was great and so was the university. The next few days after arriving back at our condo we spent on various beaches. The first few days we drove down to grade road to Nevada Beach. Lots of sand and plenty of room. The boys went kayaking for an hour. They rent them for $15 an hour for a single and $30 an hour for a double. They had a blast. The next few days we went to the other side of the lake to a beach a local waiter told us about. It's a free beach called Kive Beach and picnic area. It was beautiful! Smaller beach area backed by forest and trails to walk on. More rocky too. More natural I think. We swam a ton though the water is pretty cool. Very refreshing! Some friends from Cali drove up on Thursday and we all went to Shakespeare by the Lake that night. We saw The Complete Works Abridged done by 3 guys in converse tennies. Hilarious!!! And you can't beat the scenery. You can take a small ice chest with whatever you want to drink. They have food and drink there too and the pricing is fairly reasonable. Great time! Check it out if you go here. We were sad to leave our home on the mountain since the weather was so awesome and cool compared to what we came home to......100+! Very nice place with a community pool down the road, volleyball court, hot tub and small gym.

Dear Elizabeth and all,
Thank you so much for your kind hospitality! You all made it so easy and enjoyable for Blair and I! We really had a great time, met some wonderful people, went on some wonderful tours (Monkey Tour, Vanilla Farm, Manuel Antonio Park and Sailing!) and relaxed a lot.
Our two bedroom condo was beautifully decorated and very comfortable, having almost all the amenities of home with that great feeling of being on vacation! The Costa Rican people really made us feel welcome and we enjoyed many warm conversations with them and our fellow vacationers.
All in all we were very grateful to have chosen Pueblo Real as our destination for this fun filled, joyful holiday!
Thank you for your part in making this a very pleasant and enjoyable holiday for us!
All the Best,
Cathy and Blair

My husband and I were recently (April 10 to the 24th 2010 ) at the Haliburton Heights Resort. We had a tremendous vacation and wanted to let you know about our time there.
First of all we were running late(about an hour) but Gaye stayed till we got there, so we got her very warm and friendly welcome with a smile. She told us about the restaurant at Pinestone so we went there, it was quite good. The next day we settled in to our unit, which was very nice and "homey",the view was tremendous we both grew up around water so to have a lake right in front of you, words cannot describe. Having a jacuzzi in-unit was a BONUS as I had been tired out due to my many activities, so I really used it. We had come there to "veg" out and that was what we did, peace and serenity was the order of the day!!
Now to the staff there, as I said our first contact was Gaye Tomazic, manager of the property, a very friendly and knowledgeable lady. She had all the answers and if not sure, found out for us. Then there were the rest of the staff, Amanda Townsend and Sheila Patsola maid service extraordinary, they took the time to make sure we were comfortable and that everything was to our satisfaction down to what time was best for them to come in. Very friendly and informative , especially about what was local ,we were right at home with them ,even when it wasn't our "day". The other people we interacted with were Larry Allin, my husband calls "the cable guy" as he fixed one of the channel changers and R.J. (Gayes' son) who works there also was very helpful.
As I said we had a terrific time and want the staff there to know and also the Club that you do not have to go away to have a great time.
Thanks, Edwina and George .

Hi folks,
Well we are just back from our month at Calabogie Lodge. In fact we cut the trip short (left 4 nights before our last week was up) as I made a reservation at the Ice Hotel in Quebec City to surprise my wife and kids for Valentines Day. So we are off to sip Vodka from glasses made of ice, in our room made of ice, in the building made of ice - and when we are tired, we get to sleep in our fur lined ice bed(s).
I booked a Theme Suite that sleep 5 people so there should be room for us all.
This time I will remember to pack the digicam as I am sure there will be plenty of pictures worth posting on the site for others to see (or at least I am hopeful that there will be). After a couple of nights at the hotel, we are going to stay a night in the Old City (Quebec). Carnivale is over (last weekend) so we should only catch the tail-end of the crowds.
In any event, more pics to follow (if I can remember the camera!)
Later,
TB :)

Firstly, let me say that our first GEO holiday to Chiang Mai, Thailand was unbelievably fabulous! The country was absolutely beautiful, the people lovely and friendly and the resort was magnificent. It is extremely inexpensive once your flights are paid for. Our only regret was that we didn’t stay longer!
We definitely are looking to make the most of our Geo membership!

This is just a note to sincerely thank you for the accommodations that you provided us in Florida. The High Point Resort was beautiful and far exceeded our expectations. We stayed in a 2 bedroom townhouse that had all of the amenities of home; it was just like being in our own home

Hi All
We are new members and this is our first Geo vacation and are very excited !
We will be in club fun tropicale from Jan 12-19 celebrating our wedding anniversary and were wondering if anyone has any tips and want to share their stories on fun things to do there.
Also we are debating if we should choose the all inclusive or rather shop there and buy our own food/drinks
thanks !
